Melody Harris-Jensbach has resigned from her position of chief product officer at fashion retailer Esprit, effective October 31. A successor has not yet been named.

After a four-year stint at sportswear brand Puma from 2007, Harris-Jensbach came back to Ratingen-based Esprit, where she had previously held a position from 1998 to 2007.

During her time at Esprit, Harris-Jensbach orchestrated the company’s product refocus, working closely with design and product development teams as well as with sourcing and licensing. She also opened a trend office in London to help revive the brand’s image.

Given CEO Jose Manuel Martinez’ penchant for rapidity, it is expected that a successor will be announced shortly. Harris-Jensbach will continue to work closely with the brand as a strategic consultant for upcoming projects in 2014.
