A new chapter is starting for Jonathan Saunders. The brand has announced that it has acquired a new investor in the form of young Indian businesswoman Eiesha Bharti Pasricha (31), which should allow him to, in particular, speed up the expansion of his ready-to-wear men's and women's wear.

Eiesha Bharti Pasricha is tied to both Indian businessman Sunil Mittal of Bharti Enterprises, her father, and to London-based Indian investor Sharan Pasricha, her husband. This isn't the first foray into the world of fashion for this businesswoman, since last year she bought a minority stake in the Roksanda brand, from Serbian designer Roksanda Ilincic.

Jonathan Saunders is one of the most followed names of London Fashion Week, where he has been presenting his designs on the runway for his eponymous brand for 12 years. With a diploma in textile design from the Glasgow School of Art, then from Central Saint Martins School of Design in 2002, the talented Scottish designer quickly attracted attention from the world of fashion thanks to his prints, intense colours, and sophisticated cuts.

After leaving school, he joined the Alexander McQueen label. Creative Director at Pollini footwear, he later won several awards all while multiplying his collaborations (Topshop, Escada, etc.).

No details have been disclosed yet regarding the operation. So, the world will just have to wait until 22 February to discover the next women's collection by Jonathan Saunders for fall/winter 2015-16.
