Ebay expands UK click & collect service with Doddle
Sep 25, 2017
Ebay has announced a partnership with Doodle to offer customers across the UK the possibility to collect their purchases from over 80 Doddle locations.
The pilot service will start with Doddle’s flagship stores in London and Brighton, including Kings Cross, Canary Wharf and Liverpool Street, where shoppers will be able to collect their Ebay purchases for free.
It will be further rolled out to all Doddle locations in supermarkets, shopping centres and charity shops in the coming months.
With the collaboration, Ebay helps its businesses offer more convenient fulfilment services and greater delivery choice, enhancing its customer experience at a time when expectations for faster and cheaper delivery are growing more important.
Ebay will notify buyers as soon as their item is available in store and they can collect at a time that is most convenient for them.
Jon Ford, Head of Shipping Development, Ebay, said: “Our buyers and sellers are at the heart of everything we do and we want to make shopping and selling on Ebay as convenient and flexible as possible. That means providing as many ways to improve the delivery experience for buyers. We already have millions of Click & Collect enabled listings on Ebay and the collaboration with Doddle will help us extend our collection footprint whilst also helping sellers on Ebay to enhance their fulfilment capabilities.”
The partnership will also allow Ebay buyers to return their purchases at Doddle locations nationwide.
