Dunhill releases latest campaign, shot in Belgravia

Published
Sep 6, 2022

Richemont’s Dunhill releases its AW22 campaign on Tuesday with another set of images that emphasise its British heritage.

Dunhill

It was shot in London’s Belgravia by Scott Gallagher against “decadent Regency-style interiors” and explores “modern Britishness and its nuanced style codes”.

Mark Weston, Dunhill’s creative director, said the collection itself “is a return to a certain discipline and tradition, yet there is always a simultaneous sense of British subversion within what we do and in the person who might wear Dunhill”.

The campaign is called Uniform, and is “brought to life through the juxtaposition of subject and setting, each image captures the refined yet irreverent spirit of the house. Off-guard moments and intimate portraits – fleeting and anticipatory – bring authenticity to the fore, emphasising the British characteristics of each model”.

It focuses on ideas of tradition and masculine uniforms offset by a sense of disruption. The label’s authority in tailoring is another focus with signature jackets.

Outerwear is also a key part of the story for AW22 with the season’s car coat in a fine wool Prince of Wales check, while the Compendium parka is revised in olive green silk moiré. A new houndstooth down jacket is engineered to reflect the stitched panelling of a racing car seat in a deliberate reference to Dunhill’s automotive heritage.
