Dries Van Noten launches a perfume and cosmetics line
Dries Van Noten marks his first foray into the beauty world, launching a collection of 10 fragrances and 30 lipsticks in collectible packaging. The beauty line was designed together with the brand’s majority shareholder since 2018, the Spanish Puig group, which also produces perfumes for Comme des Garçons under a license.

Van Noten, who founded his brand in Antwerp in 1986, stayed true to his signature use of juxtaposition in his work as a designer. The perfume bottles visually reflect the duality of the scents through bold mixes of materials, patterns, and textures. The bottles are refillable and made of recycled materials, such as aluminum, glass, and wood sourced from responsibly managed forests. The 10 perfumes are made from at least 85% natural ingredients (prices start at €220).

The lipstick collection comes in four reusable containers (€69). The beauty line also includes accessories such as a lip brush, compact mirrors, travel kits, combs, hand creams, and soaps.
The Belgian designer had already dabbled in the fragrance industry, having launched his first namesake fragrance in 2013 together with Frederic Malle.
Van Noten’s beauty line is available exclusively in select Dries Van Noten stores and on the brand’s website.
The Dries Van Noten fashion house reshuffled its management team last December, appointing Axel Keller as president. Van Noten maintained his position as artistic director and holds a minority stake in the company.
