On Saturday, the online store made its first foray into the brick-and-mortar sphere with the opening of a pop-up in San Francisco. The California-based brand has developed a significant online following since its launch in 2011.

Dolls Kill raised $2.3 million in Series A funding this year and has amassed more than 1 million followers on Instagram. With a following well established, the clothing retailer experimented with its first physical store with a pop-up event in San Francisco’s Haight District.

The San Francisco pop-up opened with a selection of items from the retailer’s new collection called “In Dust We Trust.” The pop-up event also featured DJs and awarded $50 gift cards to the first 100 customers, among other giveaways.

Husband and wife Shaudi Lynn and Bobby Farahi founded Dolls Kill in 2011 and quickly grew a cult following. In 2014, the San Francisco Business Times named the multi-brand online retailer the fastest growing company in the Bay Area. That same year the company grew $5 million in Series A funding. The sites sells labels such as Dr. Martens, Wildfox and Lazy Oaf, and in July of this year launched its own streetwear label Poster Grl.

The Dolls Kill pop-up will remain open everyday from 11am to 7pm at 1475 Haight Street.
