The funds raised will be used to support Humanitas University in the second phase of the Italian fashion house’s support for the vaccine research against Coronavirus.

Back in February, Dolce &Gabbana made a substantial donation to Humanitas University to support a research project led by professor Alberto Mantovani in collaboration with virologists Elisa Vicenzi and Massimo Clementi in San Raffaele Hospital, in Milan.

In their new Spring-Summer 2020 campaign, photographer Branislav Simoncik captures Vergara clutching the iconic, padded leather Devotion bag in Portofino, where the designer duo owns a seaside villa on a peninsula in the storied luxury vacation enclave.

“Sofia Vergara perfectly embodies the Dolce & Gabbana woman: beautiful, sunny and feminine. The shots of the new campaign are illuminated by her smile and energy!” said the duo in a release.

Columbian-born Vergara, the star of the global hit comedy series Modern Family, was for three years in the previous decade estimated as the top-earning actress on American television.
