Dior creates skins for Gran Turismo 7 video game
Dior announced on Saturday an exclusive collaboration with the Gran Turismo 7 video game.
As part of the collaboration, Kim Jones has designed Dior gear, known as “skins”, as well as customized a vintage car, the De Tomaso Mangusta, that will be exclusively available within the game.
The collection consists of a yellow and gray jumpsuit, matching gloves, reinterpreted Diorizon shoes, and a blue and gray helmet that were brought to life by the Japanese studio Polyphony Digital, a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.
The artistic director of Dior men’s collections created the skins using distinctive hallmarks of the house including Dior Oblique motifs, the CD Diamond initials along with a 'Christian Dior Atelier Avenue Montaigne' patch across the different creations.
As a final touch, the number '47' appears on the driver’s silhouette and the race car, as a tribute to the year 1947, the date of Christian Dior’s first trail-blazing fashion show.
Available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles, the Gran Turismo 7 video game first launched back in March. The Dior collaboration will launch on August 25 at the heart of the game itself.
