Desigual appoints Katherine Jofre as new Global Expansion Director

Management changes continue in Desigual. The Catalan company has just nominated Katherina Jofre as its new Global Expansion Director, following the exit of former Expansion Director Joan Rouras, who held the position since 2013.

Katherina Jofre joined Desigual as project manager almost eight years ago and has since then taken different responsibilities related to the brand’s expansion process into new markets. Jofre has also led construction projects at Desigual, developing long-term strategies and operational tactics for new stores. The Colombian-born architect will report directly to Thomas Meyer, Desigual’s CEO and president.

After Manel Jadraque’s resignation as CEO in May, Desigual reported €451.9 million in revenue in the first-half year, showing a flat growth. The company announced then plans to review its business plan, optimizing its store network with relocations, closures and a limited number of openings.
