Italian interiors brand Seletti, founded in Cicognara, near Mantua, in 1964, has added to its monobrand store network by opening a first Dutch shop in Amsterdam. Seletti also operates stores in Milan, Verona, London (at Selfridges), Bangkok and Busan, South Korea, at the Shinsegae department store.

Seletti's new Amsterdam store

Seletti's 100 m2 Amsterdam store is located in the heart of the 9 Streets district. Architecture studio BBMDS designed its versatile interiors, which allow the collections’ presentation to be reconfigured at will. The products are displayed in an interlocking, visually striking pattern of lines and planes, enhanced by the contrast between industrial materials and sophisticated details.

The store showcases some of the signature items from Seletti’s collaborations with lifestyle and fashion brands, like Blow by Job&Seletti, with tableware and furniture designed by Studio Job; Diesel Living with Seletti, a collection of objects designed by Diesel’s creative team; and Seletti Wears Toiletpaper, the fruit of Seletti's collaboration with the images-only magazine by artists Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari. Among the new items on display are ‘Letter Wall’, with which customers can create a bespoke lighting fixture by choosing illuminated letters to compose words and sentences.

The Amsterdam store’s opening will be soon followed by the launch of the Dutch version of Seletti’s e-commerce site, already available in Italy, Germany, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Slovenia. Seletti’s collections are also sold online at Yoox and Made in Design.

The company closed 2018 with a revenue of approximately €14 million (a 10% increase over 2017), of which 75% was generated abroad, chiefly in France, Holland and the UK. The forecast for 2019 is to reach €16 million.
