Designer luxury brand Delpozo has signed an agreement with South Korea’s KLH International to open three stores in the coming months, with three further openings planned for the next two years.

Pre Fall 2018 - Delpozo

The first Delpozo store to open in South Korea will do so on 14 September in Seoul at the 123-floor skyscraper Lotte World Tower. The boutique will occupy a space of 63 square metres, slightly larger than its other site in Lotte Busan of 57 sq mts. The latter will open its doors to the public on 19 September. The third store is due to open on 5 October in Hyundai Mainwill and will showcase the brand’s collections over a 100 square metres of space.

“This partnership means further expansion in the Asian market. We are very excited about opening the first three locations, with more expected for the next two years,” said Pedro Trolez, president and owner of Grupo Perfumes y Diseño, which has owned Delpozo since 2013. Thomas Hahn, CEO of KLH International said the launch of Delpozo in South Korea will “give a new impulse into the stagnant women’s clothing market”.

Delpozo's Dubai flagship store - Delpozo

The new stores will feature the same store design concept as the Madrid flagship store, which made its debut in 2013 as the brand’s first location, and the London boutique, opened in 2016. Delpozo’s store in Dubai, launched in partnership with Symphony Style, has also the same design. The designer company’s expansion strategy was also boosted with a new agreement to expand in the Middle East with Chalhoub Group in June.

Whilst the US was a top priority for the business years ago, resulting in the brand presenting its collections at New York Fashion Week, Delpozo changed its strategy and joined London Fashion Week in February. And its next fashion show will take place this Sunday at 2pm during London Fashion Week September, joining a calendar of events which also include Riccardo Tisci’s first Burberry collection and Victoria Beckham’s return to the UK capital.

Currently, the brand established in 1974 by Jesus del Pozo is sold in 80 stores in 34 countries, including its three flagship stores. The brand has also a presence on luxury e-commerce sites such as Matchesfashion, Moda Operandi and MyTheresa.
