Deichmann opens latest UK store as investment ramps up

Published
Mar 18, 2022

There are no signs Deichmann is giving up its claim of being Europe’s biggest shoe retailer, as it’s continuing to invest heavily in its physical store portfolio.

The latest news is not so much a new store, but more of an upgraded relocation, reflecting the investment the firm is still dedicating to physical retail.

Deichmann has moved to a new 560 sq m unit at the Central Shopping Centre in Walthamstow, east London.

With the refit costing £400,000, the store celebrates the opening with series of in-store promotions this weekend including giveaways, family activities and 50% discounts on selected items.

The retailer said the Walthamstow store “continues to showcase a customer-friendly layout, with all the stock available on the shop floor so that customers can easily locate and try on the style and size of their choice without having to wait for assistance”.

Deichmann noted the new store stocks a full range of adult and children’s shoes, together with “unique and exclusive lines” from brands such as adidas, Fila, Nike and Skechers alongside an extensive ‘comfort’ range.

Deichmann’s own brand shoes start at just £5.99, with real leather products starting at £29.99.
