Daniel Wellington opens store in Cambridge
Fast-growing influencer watch brand Daniel Wellington has added another location to its UK store portfolio, bringing the total number of stores in the UK to seven.
The Swedish watch specialist has opened a 357-square-foot store on the ground floor of the Grand Arcade shopping centre in Cambridge, where it has joined upmarket brands including Radley, Ted Baker, Rigby & Peller, Calvin Klein and Laura Ashley.
Known for its watches and interchangeable straps, Daniel Wellington is very popular with Instagram stars and is regularly featured by a host of fashion influencers. Founded in 2011, the brand’s social media marketing helped it grow by 4,700% between 2013 and 2015, and it posted profit of $111m last tear.
The business is 100% owned by founder Filip Tysander, who launched the brand just after graduating business school.
Daniel Wellington is only the latest brand to sign a deal at Grand Arcade, following recent arrivals by Levi’s, Gant, TM Lewin, Phase Eight, The White Company, Swarovski and Pandora.
