Between 2004 and 2010, Rothmann had already worked for Dolce & Gabbana, as Vice-President Sales North America.

He then left D&G and joined Staff International, a subsidiary of the OTB Group, as Vice-President Sales & Retail, before working for Chloé as President North and South America.

Dolce & Gabbana was founded in 1985 by Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The group is based in Milan and, through its subsidiaries in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo, operates a network of 323 monobrand stores worldwide. The D&G group closed the 2016-17 fiscal year with a revenue of €1.296 billion, up 9% over the previous fiscal year.
