Crew Clothing signs pro golfer Todd Clements as new sporting ambassador

Crew Clothing is widening its varied sporting associations yet again, this time targeting golf. The premium UK lifestyle brand has signed up-and-coming English professional golfer Todd Clements as a brand ambassador for its new golfwear range.

The deal will see Clements wear the brand’s new golf collection at every tournament this year. He will also be featured in Crew Clothing campaigns and product launches, taking in all-important social media and TV appearances.

The association began during the Legends Tour, which gives golfers the unique opportunity to play with Ryder Cup captains and Major winners in Pro Am events.
Crew Clothing says it selected Clements because he is “charismatic, talented and progressive” as well as being “a natural fit for the brand”.

At 26, Clements won the English Amateur Championship in 2017, followed by a professional victory in 2018 at the Saudi Open and winning the PGA Europro Tour Championship in 2019.

Clements has also now secured a spot for the 2022 European Challenge Tour.

Crew's brand director Georgina Clark added: "Todd is going from strength to strength on the course and we wanted to help him secure many more trophies with our performance collection. "He's one to watch and we’re extremely proud to be on that journey with him. He's a perfect addition to the Crew family."

Clements added: “The brand's dedication to technical innovation aligns with my goals and I'm looking forward to putting the collection through its paces on the course all over the world. I'll be wearing Crew every day – for all golf activities – from my local club in Colchester to tournaments as far flung as the Caribbean.”

Over the past three years, the Crew Clothing brand has developed from its obvious nautical links into building a wide portfolio of premium sports partners including Henley Royal Regatta, Williams Racing, rugby union club Exeter Chiefs and the Lawn Tennis Association among others.

This year, the retailer’s association with these sporting events includes launching licensed collections, operating onsite pop-up stores and developing online promotions.

Crew Clothing’s golf collection is currently available on the brand’s website and the new collection, worn by Clements, will be available from August.
