Manchester-based affordable fashion brand Couture Club has taken a high-profile unit at Westfield Stratford where it will open its third location later this year.

Founded in 2016, the brand has currently two stores in Newcastle's Intu Metro Centre and Manchester's Intu Trafford Centre.

Described as a destination for “street style with premium quality yet high street prices”, Couture Club is promoted on social media by Love Island stars including Tom Walker, Wes Nelson and Alex Bowen.

It has experienced a meteoric rise since its launch by reality TV star Ross Worswick, with revenues growing from £3 million last year to £15 million.

Joining leading brands at Westfield Stratford, the opening will represent a massive leap for the clothing retailer.

“The secret is out,” it said in an Instagram post this weekend. “Our new store opens September 2019 in the capital city of the UK, London Westfield Stratford.”

The photo shows a double-height unit on the shopping centre’s first floor, adjacent to Uniqlo and New Look.

The move somewhat echoes the vision of fellow Manchester-based clothing brand Missguided, which opened its first standalone store in a 20,000 sq ft unit within Westfield Stratford in 2016. But the young fashion was forced to shut the store earlier this year after falling to a loss, saying that the “premature” opening had affected its performance.
