Courrèges gives out a phone number to discover Le Messager, its new fragrance
Le Messager is the name of Courrèges' new fragrance. The house, which completely rethought its fragrances in September 2021 by launching five new perfumes, is now unveiling its sixth scent and telling the story of two strangers bound by a desire to connect with each other.
Courrèges posted on its Instagram account, which has nearly 400,000 followers, a phone number, in a scribbled handwritten font. After dialling the number, on the other end of the line a poem read by a female voice invites people to chat on WhatsApp (which, like Instagram, belongs to the Meta group) to discover the fragrance. Those who are curious can leave their name and address to receive samples of Le Messager by Courrèges, while a few lucky ones will receive an entire bottle.
Imagined by Nicolas Di Felice, Courrèges' creative director, Le Messager blends bergamot essence with a vanilla musk base, reminiscent of the ink deposited on the correspondence between two lovers. The bottle is made of 40% recycled glass and is topped with a lacquered wooden cap. Its cylindrical case is made from sustainable forests.
Courrèges, which was acquired at the end of 2017 by Artemis, the investment company of the Pinault family, offers its perfumes in its boutiques and in perfumeries. The fragrance is sold at 130 euros for 100ml.
