Cotswold Outdoor teams up with TV presenter Julia Bradbury
Cotswold Outdoor has partnered with British TV presenter Julia Bradbury, best known for starring in the BBC1 hit series Countryfile, and ITV’s Britain’s Favourite Walks, on a series of projects.
The outdoor clothing retailer said it will work with Bradbury and her website The Outdoor Guide on a series of events and projects dedicated to support and strengthen the outdoors community.
Bradbury has built a reputation as the face of the outdoors after co-founding the popular walking website The Outdoor Guide with her sister Gina and revamping Sunday night television alongside Matt Baker with the BBC1 series Countryfile.
She recently hosted Britain’s Best Walks and Britain’s Favourite Walks: Top 100 on ITV, and her latest series is due to launch soon.
“We are delighted to be working with Julia Bradbury and The Outdoor Guide throughout 2019 and beyond. We know that people are happier outside and together, we want to inspire and support people to actively enjoy the outdoors by making it easy, fun and exciting for everyone,” said Paul McDermott, marketing and omnichannel director at Cotswold Outdoor.
Julia Bradbury added: “We’ll be looking to engage the public with exciting projects and motivate them to embrace beautiful spaces. I’m also looking forward to combining forces with such a trusted retailer."
The partnership is the latest development from the brand after it emerged that its owner is considering the closure of several stores. Last week, Sky News reported that AS Adventure, the retail group behind Cotswold Outdoor and Snow & Rock, is working on a shop closure programme that will potentially affect hundreds of jobs.
In total, the group operates nearly 120 stores across the UK.
