The 5,700 sq ft store will open in a former warehouse with links back to the city’s maritime history, located adjacent to luxury retailer Flannels and Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols at the entrance to Peter’s Lane.

It will be the first time the brand, specialised in reinvented classics and wardrobe essentials, opens a standalone store in the North West. The store will showcase its fashion collections, known for their clean silhouettes and timeless design, for men and women.

Sam Miller, head of expansion at H&M Group, said: “Liverpool is known for its focus on fashion, and nowhere more so than Liverpool One. The high footfall and line-up of complementary brands on Peter’s Lane will be great assets as we introduce our first Cos standalone store in the North West.”

This year marks Liverpool One’s 10th anniversary since opening in 2008. The shopping destination saw sales up 3% last year, compared with 2016 and reported an annual footfall of 29 million. It is expected a new entrant to Liverpool One’s Peter’s Lane will be announced in the coming weeks.
