Cos opens first Edinburgh Store in flagship development

Published
Mar 20, 2023

Fashion retailer Cos has debuted its very first store in Edinburgh, with the H&M Group brand located in the £1 billion retail and entertainment destination St James Quarter.

The 352 sq m store includes the use of sustainable, recycled/repurposed materials throughout the space “to support the brand’s goal to reduce store CO2 emissions while maximising the lifecycle of all its interior”.

A key feature is its external design created by using Matteo Brioni fine-grained plaster cladding from various territories, blended together “to create a natural, tactile surface”.

The space will launch with the SS23 ready-to-wear collection “which channels an understated approach to luxury”. The collection features “reinvented” tailoring in light seasonal linen and seersucker, while soft leather jackets and structured trench coats “elevate the everyday, transitioning seamlessly to the evening” while “broderie anglaise and hand-drawn abstract florals feature on coordinating sets in fresh new colourways”.

Cos joins a strong retail portfolio at St James Quarter, including sister-brand mass-market H&M, as well as John Lewis, upscale label Coach, Zara, Calvin Klein, JD Sports, Next, Aeronautica Militare, Russell & Bromley and Pandora.
