A Converse veteran with more than 10 years of experience at the iconic footwear brand, Carver most recently served as Converse vice president and general manager of North America, a position he held for four years. Before that, he was Converse vice president and general manager of global digital direct; vice president of strategy; and director of strategy and business development for Converse's European headquarters.

In his new role as Converse CEO, Carver will report to Nike Inc. president and CEO, John Donahoe.

Carver's appointment comes one week after parent company Nike Inc. announced the sportswear giant had some big leadership changes that it said “will continue to build on its strong momentum and underscore Nike’s commitment to product innovation, serving athletes and unrivalled brand storytelling while driving deeper integration across the business."

That means that current president, consumer and marketplace, Heidi O’Neill, will become president, consumer, product and band, across Nike Inc.

And Jordan’s president, Craig Williams, has now been named president, geographies and marketplace, again across the Nike business.

Meanwhile, EVP and CFO Matthew Friend is expanding his responsibilities to include procurement, global places and services and demand and supply management.
