Rubel will also step down as the company's chairman and as director and board member Scott Olivet will become the non-executive chairman.

The Topeka, Kansas-based company said it has started looking for a new leader, but Massey said he was not interested in running the company on a permanent basis.

Shares of the company were trading flat at $14 after the bell on the New York Stock Exchange.
