Coach debuts vintage pop-up in Spitalfields with its (Re)Loved Exchange entering Europe for first time

Published
Oct 31, 2022

Coach is tapping the vintage market and has opened a London pop-up (in Spitalfields) selling pre-owned and upcycled bags. The pop-up sells vintage Coach pieces and it’s taking an interesting approach with the product offer not just being about bags in as-near-out-of-the-factory condition as possible. In fact, some of the stock has been restored or upcycled, or remade and completely reworked.

Coach

The company said it’s the “first-ever concept store in London celebrating the Coach (Re)Loved programme and its commitment to creating a better-made, circular future for all”.

It comes as the brand sees massive demand for vintage pieces such as the baguette and C monogram items. And on TikTok, the ‘vintage coach bag’ tag has 6.6 million views.

The store comes complete with vintage furniture and fittings to show off the archive pieces that include some from its Bonnie Cashin era.

And there’s a place where owners of Coach bags in need of some TLC can take their items. The Coach Craftsmanship Bar should be able to extend a bag’s lifespan, as well as including services such as monogramming, add-ons for customisation, and embroidery.

To add to all this, the company has a programme of events such as workshops, DJ sets, artists-in residence, and panel discussions running into early December. The store itself is open until mid-January.

Importantly too, from November the Coach (Re)Loved Exchange is coming to both the UK and Europe for the first time with customers able to trade in their old Coach bag for store credit.
