Scott Crowson, who has 20 years of fashion retail experience, has been chosen for the task. As retail director, he will focus on developing retail opportunities through franchise and concession arrangements for the company across Great Britain.

Crowson is the owner of the successful Coneys Designerwear chain of independents, and a stockist of Douglas & Grahame’s portfolio of brands in its stores.

In addition to Remus Uomo, Douglas & Grahame produces clothing under menswear brands including Douglas, Wellington and Daniel Grahame.

“We’re excited to be taking the next step towards our omni-channel business strategy with Scott, a long-standing business partner of Douglas & Grahame,” said Donald Finlay, managing director of Douglas & Grahame Ltd.

“Our business model has always been about working in partnership with our independent retail customers and we hope to further consolidate that position through Scott’s appointment and in the new opportunities Scott will develop for us.”

Headquartered in Northern Ireland with a UK sales office in Shenstone (Staffordshire), the clothing manufacturer has already six Remus Uomo franchise stores across the UK and Ireland, and a number of concessions within leading independents across Great Britain. Against this backdrop, the company said it is ready for a “large increase” in its retail footprint in the coming year.

Crowson will work closely with group sales director, Andrew Lowden in the development of the expansion programme.
