Clarks hires new information chief from La Perla

Footwear giant Clarks has made a new hire, adding an exec from La Perla to its team. Simon Clarke has taken on the role of chief information officer, a title he also held at the luxury lingerie specialist.

Clarke was at La Perla for just over two years until January and joined Clarks this month. His previous experience included a mix of non-fashion and fashion companies as he’d been at Oxford University Press as group supply chain director, Enotria Winecellars as supply chain and IT director, and Façonnable as logistics & IT director.

The move comes after LionRock Capital acquired the business a little over a year ago in late 2020 and a number of executives later left the firm.

LionRock has been rebuilding the management team since then but is still seeking a chief executive following ex-Guess chief Victor Herrero moving on from the role that he’d take up temporarily after the departure of CEO Giorgio Presca.

The business is currently helmed by its chairman, Johnny Chen.
