Cheap Monday recruits European sales manager

Published
Oct 11, 2011

Cheap Monday is strengthening its team in order to develop its presence in the European market. Owned by retail giant H&M, the Swedish brand is booming at the moment with boutique openings in Copenhagen as well as corners at Selfridges in England. It should also be opening stores in 2012 in France, where it introduced its slim line. Now, on top of new boutique openings, the brand has also just appointed Lautaro Aravena, former VF Corp manager, to the post of European sales manager.

After working for Swedish fashion distribution company MnO International, Aravena created his own label named A.O. Sweden. More recently, he was responsible for marketing and sales in Europe, The Middle East, Africa and Latin America for Eastpak.

In his new position, Lautaro Aravena will be based in Stockholm and will be in charge of developing and maintaining the brand’s network of 1,800 stores in 38 markets. The new sales manager will also look after Cheap Monday’s sales organisations in Spain and Portugal, which recently opened this Summer.
