Celebrities create charity jute bags for Seasalt

Seasalt, a Cornwall-based clothing and homeware retailer that sells goods inspired by life by the sea, has collaborated with a number of UK celebrities to support charity Fishermen's Mission.

Fashion designer Barbara Hulanicki, who started the Biba label in the 1960's, created a bag featuring a mythical creature, perhaps a mermaid, with waves crashing all around her. TV presenter Fern Britton's jute bag shows the beautiful fishing port of Padstow, one of her favourite places in Cornwall. Actresses Eleanor Tomlinson and Caroline Quentin and TV presenter Julia Bradbury also designed bags for Seasalt.
"Our 2015 Charity Jute Bag campaign was a sell-out success raising over £6,000 for Fishermen’s Mission! This year we’d like to raise even more," said Seasalt's Nikki Phillips. Fishermen's Mission provides emergency support alongside practical, financial, spiritual and emotional care to active and retired fishermen, and 50p from each bag will be donated to the charity.
The bags go on sale from March.
