Cdiscount: Cnova hires new CFO

Vitor Fagá de Almeida will succeed Jean-Jacques Charhon as CFO of Cnova, which manages the e-commerce business of Cdiscount in France, Latin America, Asia and Africa.

A graduate of the State University of Campinas (Brazil), Vitor Fagá de Almeida worked in retail and healthcare before joining Boston Consulting Group. He was then hired by Pão de Açúcar as chief financial officer and head of investor relations. He was subsequently named CFO of Via Varejo. 

Based in Bordeaux, Cdiscount currently has 17,500 free pick-up locations in France. This year, via "C Market", the site featured some 10 million offers from some 5,000 merchant partners. Cdiscount, in turn, offers a catalog of 100,000 products, and generated a turnover last year of 1.6 billion euros.
