The Fall/Winter 2019 fashion shows in New York and London have made some bold beauty statements, particularly when it comes to manicures, which have been given a theatrical update for the new season.

Alice + Olivia

US label Alice + Olivia's winter wonderland-themed presentation was replete with butterfly shapes that featured everywhere from the hairpieces to the manicures. Models sported impressive 3D versions of the colorful creatures on their nails, tying into the floral theme of the collection.

Chromat

Nail artists Eda and Anna Levenson came up with a vibrant, fiery look for their 10th Chromat show, echoing the riot of color found in the fashion collection by creating tie-dye patterns with royal blues, zesty oranges and hot pinks.

Adeam
One of the major themes of the Adeam show was for classic pearls, which were sprinkled throughout the collection via an inventive manicure concept that saw the models' nails embellished with different-sized pearls, against a shimmering pink or deep midnight blue OPI polish.

Kaimin

‘Cyborg nails' were the main attraction at the Kaimin show, where nail artist Tracylee came up with a somewhat intimidating, futuristic look involving stiletto shapes and silver spray paint.

House of Holland

At House of Holland the vibrant blue makeup look formed the basis of the manicure inspiration for nail artist Robbie Tomkins, whose black and blue design was both minimalist and dynamic.
