CIFF's trade fair completes its 45th edition as attendance grows

Published
Aug 17, 2015

The Copenhagen based international trade fair CIFF was succesfully completed last Friday and after a thorough review the visitor numbers, the organizers announced an overall rise of 8% in unique visitors compared to last year.

The trade fair presented the Summer 2016 collections of premium Scandinavia brands - CIFF

The event, which this year lasted three days instead of its usual four, also saw a bigger international turnout, reporting a 74% increase of international visitors, mostly from Japan, Germany and the UK. There was also a 22% rise of Scandinavian buyers.

"This is exactly what we aimed for, by moving the dates and shortening the length of the fair we were able to attract a higher number of international visitors, " said Kristian W. Andersen, Fashion and Design Director of CIFF. "Contrary to peoples fear that this would hurt the numbers of Scandinavian buyers we have not only maintained our strong Scandinavian visitor base, but actually increased the number of these buyers. These buyers are coming from stores with the biggest buying power and who represent the future of the Scandinavian fashion industry."

CIFF, Scandinavia's leading and most innovate platform, presents a carefully curated selection of Scandinavian fashion to an increasingly international audience. Founded in 1993, the fair has expanded to CIFF RAVEN, (menswear) CIFF KIDS, CIFF SHOWROOMS AND CIFF SHOES.

The next edition of the trade fair will take place on February 3-5 in Copenhagen.
