TM Lewin, the British shirtmaker brand that is popular with finance workers, is allegedly close to signing a deal with Sankaty Advisors to buy Coller Capital's 20% stake in the business, according to City A.M.

Sankaty Advisors is an affiliate of Bain Capital and would take a majority stake in the business. CEO Geoff Quinn, who has been with TM Lewin for more than three decades, is expected to keep majority ownership of the company.

Last year saw TM Lewin return to profit, and the company said trading was helped by a new casual clothing collection and the expansion of its womenswear ranges.
