Brand Architekts names new part-time CFO

Challenger British beauty business Brand Architekts Group has appointed Geoff Ellis  Chief Financial Officer, effective 3 July, albeit on a part-time basis.

Charlotte Lee, Group Financial Controller, who has been with the group for three years, will support Ellis in his role.

The appointment comes as current CFO Tom Carter will leave the business on 30 June after overseeing an extensive handover in May and June with his replacement.

“Tom has been instrumental in putting in place the appropriate systems, procedures and finance structure, which has resulted in efficiency and financial governance improvements”, Brand Architekts said.

Ellis has an “distinguished career” as an experienced Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operational Officer, that includes international business development combined with expertise in post-merger integration and restructuring. 

He is a chartered accountant and was previously CFO at Proteome and has held a variety of senior executive roles at Walt Disney Incorporated. 

Meanwhile, Brand Architekts also announced that Simon Pyper will stand down from its board from 31 May in order to focus on his role as Chief Executive Officer of CPP Group. It said Pyper played a key role in integrating Innovaderma, bought by Brand Architekts last June, into the group. Amy Nelson-Bennett will become chair of the audit committee.
