Boux Avenue, the British lingerie retailer that also sells swimwear, loungewear and nightwear, is set to enter Oxford Street. The company is close to signing a deal for a boutique on the shopping street.

The store was previously leased by footwear retailer Russell & Bromley, measures 2,500 sqft. and is located at 492 Oxford Street, reports Property Week. Boux Avenue is allegedly paying a rent of more than £975,000 a year for the space.

However, since the owner of the building is the Libyan Foreign Investment Company, which is subject to EU financial sanctions, the deal is subject to HM Treasury approval. This means the owners can't sign off any new leasing deal since the asset is under Treasury control.

Boux Avenue is owned by well-known British entrepreneur Theo Paphitis and currently has 25 stores in the UK. The company is on a "rapid international expansion" across 10 countries.
