Jewelry company Blue Nile announced on Tuesday the appointment of former Tiffany & Co. CEO Frédéric Cumenal to its Board of Directors.

Frédéric Cumenal

Cumenal joined Tiffany & Co. in 2011 and served in various executive positions of increasing responsibility, including CEO from April 2015 to February 2017. Prior to joining the 180-year-old jeweler and specialty retailer, Cumenal spent 15 years at LVMH and served in several senior roles, including CEO and President at Moët & Chandon S.A. He also served as Executive Vice President of Marketing, Strategy, and Development at Ferruzi Group, and Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, France S.A.S.

“Frédéric’s global experience in our dynamic industry, and deep understanding of the consumer and the market, will be extremely valuable to Blue Nile. We are delighted to welcome him to our Board of Directors,” said Blue Nile CEO Jason Goldberger.

The addition of Cumenal to the Blue Nile Board of Directors comes one week after the appointments of Erin Daley as Chief Marketing Officer, David Fleischmann as Chief Product Officer and Jon Sainsbury as Chief Strategy Officer and President of International. In addition, the Bain Capital Private Equity, Bow Street, and Adama Partners-owned label named Goldberger the President and CEO in June 2017.
