Blink Brow Bar opens on King's Road with wide range of services

The onward march of brow and lash-enhancing services was further illustrated on Thursday with news that Blink Brow Bar has opened a store/salon on one of the UK’s most affluent shopping streets, London’s King’s Road.

The street’s major landlord, Sloane Stanley, said the award-winning business has chosen 341 King’s Road for its latest permanent store. It covers 889 sq ft and is the latest in a global portfolio of 30 brow bars.

As well as the threading service for which the brand was originally known, the new shop offers a wide range of drop-in brow and eyelash services as well as “soothing treatments” and even eyelash extensions.

Expanding from threading has been a wise move for the company with eye services generally being one of the big growth areas in the beauty sector. The UK’s Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists has said eyelash treatments, for instance, are now the second most popular service after nails in salons.

The King’s Road location officially opens next month but is up and running now with a temporary fit-out which, again, makes good commercial sense given the tourist flow that’s seen in the area souring the warmer summer months.
