Ben Sherman to open standalone on key Birmingham shopping street

Clothing brand Ben Sherman, known for its preppy button-down shirts, is set to open its first standalone store in Birmingham this spring in one of its most interesting shopping areas.
Opening in April at Bullring’s LinkStreet, the newly refurbished retail space that connects the Bullring and Grand Central, the new 164 sq m store will offer the full range of menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, shoes and fashion.
Ben Sherman’s subcultural narrative will fit in well with LinkStreet’s concept, which takes inspiration from innovative retail areas such as London's Carnaby Street and Seven Dials and houses an interesting mix of niche and alternative brands including fashion label Pretty Green, the first Cereal Killer Café outside London and luxury barbershop Barber Barber.
The space also features purpose-built flexible units that cater for pop-ups and short term leases, which have hosted brands like Trapstar London and Religion Clothing.
“Since its refurbishment in 2015 LinkStreet has gone from strength to strength and the addition of Ben Sherman's first standalone store in the city is testament to this,” said Ian Mitchell, UK commercial director.
“A perfect fit for the exciting and innovative retail line-up already secured at LinkStreet, Ben Sherman will benefit from the high number of shoppers that pass through the space, as well as the dynamic and evolving tenant mix.”
