Ben Sherman continues expansion with new store at Liverpool One

British menswear brand Ben Sherman has chosen Liverpool One for its first full-price store outside London. Opening at the beginning of April, the store will cover 1,755 sq ft and stock the brand’s full range of clothing and accessories.

“Choosing the right locations for exclusive stores outside London is crucial.  Liverpool One stood out as an opportunity: the brand complements our own, we are joining one of the strongest line-up of fashion and accessories retailers in the country, and Liverpool One continues to out-perform," said Ben Sherman retail director David Basterfield.

The retailer, known for its button-down shirts, is also planning to open a new standalone store in Birmingham this spring. The business has currently two full-price stores in London and one in Thurrock, plus multiple concessions and outlet stores across the UK.

At Liverpool One, it will join a mix of complementary luxury and heritage fashion brands, including Flannels, Michael Kors, Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols, Dr Martens and Pretty Green – and benefit from the mall’s increasing popularity.

In the year to date, sales at Liverpool One have grown by 12% compared to the same period in 2016. More than 20 new brands joined the scheme last year, including Victoria’s Secret, Rolex and Apple, and this year will see the launch of Hollister’s latest store concept on South John Street and the opening of JD Sports and Superdry regional flagships. Guess and Five Guys will also make their debuts in time for the summer.
