Beaverbrooks upsizes in Milton Keynes as jewellery sector shines

Published
Nov 5, 2021

To take advantage of a jewellery sector that’s enjoying strong post-lockdown retail sales, Beaverbrooks has moved to a bigger boutique at Milton Keynes mall centre:mk.

Beaverbrooks

Upsizing into a new unit, the family-owned jeweller has opened a 2,744 sq ft store on Crown Walk, more than doubling its mall presence while adding a new luxury boutique from premium watchmaker TAG Heuer.

It underlines the fast recovery that both the watches and jewellery sector have seen post-pandemic with news of store openings and upsizes coming in regularly.

The new adjoining boutiques offer a key selection of TAG Heuer’s new launches and heritage pieces, alongside other leading luxury watch brands, including Omega, Breitling and Tudor.

The store also hosts a wide selection of diamonds, jewellery and other watches, with staff offering “new levels of expertise and a more immersive shopping experience”. This will include a special diamond consultation area.

Kevin Duffy, centre:mk’s Centre Director, said the Beaverbrooks expansion coincides with the news showing the mall is experiencing “consistently strong trading performance at centre:mk since stores re-opened on April 12”.

He said between 25-31 October, centre:mk’s footfall was 8% above Springboard’s national week-on-week footfall benchmark, 19% ahead of its High Street index, and 38% up on the Shopping Centre index.
