BHV Marais: Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci and Moncler’s men’s store in Paris has opened

It’s an important step for BHV Marais. The Parisian department store, owned by Groupe Galeries Lafayette, is developing a favorable environment for its desire to move more upscale. With this in mind, the group has created a luxury men's division with four internationally recognized brands in the French capital's 3rd arrondissement.

After nearly six months of work, the four stores will finally open in mid-April with Moncler, Fendi, Givenchy and Gucci’s first concepts solely dedicated to men. The four stores will stand together and share a façade developed by the English architect Jamie Fobert for Citynove, the real estate arm of Groupe Galeries Lafayette.

The interior offers each brand the opportunity to show off its manly side. Moncler covers 860 square feet, its concept created by architects Gilles & Boissier, who make use of limestone and eucalyptus wood to give a mountainy feel to its store.

Fendi, meanwhile, has filled its 650 square foot space with dark wood, brown-varnished furniture and copper tone mats.

Givenchy has a 3,000 square-foot space covering two floors and gives the nod to Paris with Haussmann apartment-style interior featuring rosewood, metro-style tiling and concrete.

Finally, Gucci has used its concept already applied in Milan and inspired by Art Deco in a 3,380 square-foot space covering two floors.

The location of these major international labels will open up the doors to speculation about development in the neighborhood. Meanwhile, the names of other major brands are regularly mentioned in regards to new retail space in the area.
