Headonism is a BFC designer support initiative curated by renowned British milliner Stephen Jones OBE. As well as offering business support and mentorship, the programme gives participating designers the opportunity to gain industry access and visibility with a showcase during London Fashion Week.

Stephen Jones OBE, milliner and curator of Headonism commented:  "I am thrilled Headonism continues to evolve and engage with new members. I welcome The Season Hats (Paul Stafford and Selina Horshi) and Laura Apsit to our group of Merrie Milliners, which include Harvy Santos and Sophie Beale. I look forward to their innovative and stylish Spring Summer 2017 hats to be launched at London Fashion Week.”

Newcomer milliner Laura Apsit Livens is a LCF graduate whose client base includes Paloma Faith, Rita Ora and Princess Beatrice.  At her atelier and showroom in Mayfair, she creates couture pieces fusing modern design with artisan techniques.

Meanwhile, Paul Stafford and Selina Horshi from The Season Hats combine their unconventional background to design playful collections that are still very weareable. The pair has come up with the idea of using Chinese paper folding techniques to give their delicate headwear a transport solution.

Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, commented: “Millinery is a real craft, and Headonism always champions technically creative and accomplished designers. With two new designers, this season’s line up is as strong as ever, and I really look forward to seeing their new collections in the Designer Showrooms this September.”
