Aztech Mountain debuts an exclusive collection for Barneys

Outdoor lifestyle brand Aztech Mountain is set to release an exclusive collection with Barneys by the end of May.

The collection consists of golf-inspired styles including shorts, trousers, polo shirts, t-shirts and lightweight waterproof jackets. The shorts and trousers are built with deep pockets that can hold several golf balls and the shirts are made with a quick-drying fabric that reduces sweat when golfing on the range.

Co-founder and co-designer Anthony Heifara Rutgers says the collection was inspired by his and his business partner, David Roth’s, golf-playing fathers. Rutgers said they consulted with his father to ensure that the products are fully functional and can perform well while golfing.

Aztech Mountain was born on the slopes of Aspen and raised on the streets of New York City. The brand’s founders saw a gap in the market for lifestyle outerwear that can withstand the intense cold and snow of the mountains and which isn’t fussy to wear on the city streets.

The entire line is produced in the finest factories in Italy with water-resistant or waterproof fabrics and construction designed to retain heat. The outerwear often has a removable lining and inside pockets.

The collection, which ranges from $158 to $800, will only be available at Barneys New York and on the brand’s website.
