The Thierry Mugler perfume division has begun a new chapter in its history with "Aura," a fragrance designed to awaken women's innermost instincts.

Thierry Mugler and his team have sought to celebrate a woman's intuitive instinct with "Aura", which combines animalic and botanical nuances. This new perfume is a joint effort involving Sandrine Groslier, the Thierry Mugler chairwoman, Pierre Aulas, the olfactory artistic director, and the four perfumers Daphné Bugey, Amandine Clerc Marie, Christophe Raynaud, and Marie Salamagne.

"Aura" is based on three interconnected hearts. The instinctive heart (Tiger Liana) echoes the botanical heart (rhubarb leaf and orange blossom) and the carnal heart (Bourbon vanilla pod and wolfwood).

Pierre Aulas explained that they were returning to animalic notes, but in a modern way, without incorporating the raw materials used at the beginning of the century. He said that they had used botanical elements for animalic purposes and reinvented the family of tropical green notes in the Mugler style. He explained that botanical raw materials were used. And that they successfully brought together the two kingdoms.

The bottle was designed by Thierry Mugler himself, and then brought to life by a sculptor. The magnetic emerald green bottle is shaped like a multi-faceted heart which captures the light, and is topped with a metal "M."

The perfume house has chosen the top model Zhenya Katava as the face of "Aura." She's a brunette with cat-like emerald eyes.

This latest Mugler eau de parfum is available in 30ml, 50ml and 90ml refillable sprays, 100ml refills, as a body lotion and a shower gel. In January 2018, a body cream and a deodorant spray will be added to the collection.
