Assouline has just released a major art book on the seventy year career of legendary designer Pierre Cardin – who is still alive, at age 95.

The visionary couturier, born in 1922, is known for his unique futuristic creations, from his famed Bubble dress, and for transforming his name into one of the first global brands. Cardin had his name on not just high fashion pieces, but accessories, jewelry, fragrance, home décor, restaurants and an annual arts festival.

The $195 dollar book, entitled simply 'Pierre Cardin,' is filled with images from the 1950’s to today, showing the complete vision of Pierre Cardin across all platforms.

It was written by Jean-Pascal Hesse, who has been director of communications at Pierre Cardin for over twenty years. Hesse has written several Assouline books in close collaboration with Cardin, including Pierre Cardin: 60 Years of Innovation (2010); Maxim’s: Mirror of Parisian Life (2010); The Palais Bulles (2012); and Donatien Alphonse François de Sade (2014).

The book is currently available on the publisher's website in hardcover format.
