Armani launches new fragrance "Sì" with Cate Blanchett

On May 25, fashion designer Giorgio Armani launched his latest perfume, Sì Le Parfum, at a cocktail party at Florence Hall in London.

Guests at the launch included actress Cate Blanchett, who is the face of the fragrance and wore a sleeveless Giorgio Armani dress, and Roberta Armani.

Giorgio Armani says: "Sì is my tribute to modern femininity - an irresistible combination of grace, strength and independence of spirit." He also chose the night to launch the Sì Women's Circle, a virtual project created by Giorgio Armani that aims "to give a voice to today's women." Three women who are part of the Circle were in attendance - ballet dancer Charlotte Ranson, actress Kee Yoon Kim, and 3D pioneer Cecile Schmollgruber.

In other Armani news, the 81-year old designer recently announced that he will no longer use fur in his products, since technological progress means there is no longer any justification for cruelty to animals.
