It looks like Urban Outfitters-owned Anthropologie is going to open its first store in Northern Ireland with the company having launched a recruitment drive for staff in Belfast, according to reports.

The parent company already operates a single Urban Outfitters location in Victoria Square in the city.

The Anthropologie chain currently has 229 stores internationally, although most of them are in its home market of North America. However, it has 11 in the UK so far following its London debut back in 2009.

The company has been eyeing Northern Ireland's premier city as right for a new store for quite a few years, the Belfast Telegraph reported, and the ad for staff seems to confirm its intentions. It's currently recruiting for a store manager, assistant store manager, team leader, and visual merchandising manager, as well as sales staff.

The company hasn't confirmed its plans and there’s no indication of where the new shop will be, although it's expected that it will be on one of the city's major shopping thoroughfares.

Its Urban Outfitters shop on Victoria Square is a large space and the square would be a good location, although there’s also plenty of potential space that would suit the company on Arthur Street.

Urban Outfitters reports its first-quarter results on Tuesday and analysts are predicting an increase in its revenue figure.
