Recently appointed as creative director at Versace's diffusion line, the Belgian designer presented his first line for the brand on Thursday, May 14. Bold yet simple and functional, this Fall-Winter 2015-2016 collection is heavy on tartans, military-inspired designs and asymmetrical tailoring.

The show was held in London and streamed live worldwide online, and all of the designs went on sale immediately afterwards on the Versus Versace site.

Creating a range of very distinctive pieces for this debut line, Anthony Vaccarello experimented with asymmetry, as in one sleeved dresses and gowns that are floor-length on one side and mini on the other. Details such as zippers and buttons are positioned asymmetrically in skirts and on certain accessories, such as belts.

Military style is another key feature of the line, particularly in the menswear designs, as seen in double-breasted coats, epaulettes and shades such as army green to midnight blue.

Tartan prints are also found throughout the collection, whether in the conventional size in suits, kilts, skirts and jackets or oversized in knit sweaters.

The collection includes a number of sportswear pieces, including a sweatshirt-style dress, as well as more refined looks such as a black on black pantsuit for women.

Printed denim, leather patches, and motifs featuring the iconic Versus lion head round out this Fall-Winter line.
