Amina Muaddi and A$AP Rocky's AWGE release footwear collaboration

Shoe designer Amina Muaddi and rapper A$AP Rocky's creative agency AWGE have combined their industry-favorite aesthetics for a new collection of women's shoes. 

The collaboration includes four footwear styles, inspired by A$AP's personal style and cultural impact and all featuring Muaddi's signature upside-down martini class stiletto heel.  

Styles include open-toed sandals featuring an 'AWGE' charm and a cuban link ankle strap inspired by A$AP's own jewelry collection; knee-high gladiator sandals adorned with crystals; and pumps in PVC and leather varieties decorated with a crystal-encrusted butterfly -- a symbol AWGE uses to reference A$AP Yams.

The collection marks both A$AP Rocky's first women's footwear collection and Muaddi's first collaboration within her eponymous footwear brand. However, Muaddi was tapped to design shoes for Rihanna’s luxury Fenty brand in December of 2019. 

Both partners announced the collection's release via Instagram. 

"We’ve been working on this collab for more than a year," Muaddi said. "We’re so excited to finally share it with the world."

Launched on December 11, the collection is available worldwide at a range of retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Net-a-Porter, Browns Fashion, Mytheresa, Moda Operandi and Just One Eye, among others. Prices range from $1,215 to $1,920.
