Wholesale net sales increased 2% for the month of July 2013.

"July represents our 26th consecutive month of positive comparable store sales growth," said Dov Charney, Chairman and Chief Executive of American Apparel, Inc. "The 6% comparable store sales increase in July is particularly noteworthy given that it was on top of a 19% increase in July last year, which demonstrates continued gains in our store productivity. As we enter August, we anticipate continued strength in our sales channels and we are looking forward to back-to-school, Halloween and holiday selling season."
