Amer Sports is cutting its ties with snowboarding. In the latest presentation of its quarterly results last week, the Finnish group slid in that it has divested brands Nikita and Bonfire. It had acquired the first in 2011 and the second in 2005. According to the group, the two brands generated 9.8 million euros in revenue in 2014.

The two brands now belong to CRN Pte Ltd. The Singapore-based structure and its subsidiary, Pretty Great, will be in charge of the activities for both. The new owner may give details about its ambitions this week.

For its part, Amer Sports still has its gloves it the snow sector with its brand Salomon Snowboards. But the focus seems to be on its ball sports division with the finalisation of its purchase of baseball brand Louisville Slugger.

Amer Sports says the divestment will have no material impact on Amer Sports’ financial results.
