Alina London launches Jitrois capsule, first store in resort-wear chain

Independent high-end French leather brand Jitrois has unveiled an exclusive collaboration with resort-wear specialist Alina London, the first time the two have collaborated. And the capsule collection will be sold exclusively at a new concept store on London’s Brompton Road that opens later this week. 

The store, called Fashion Joint, which is the brainchild of Alina’s founder, opens on December 6 and will be the first of a series of luxury resort-wear stores with further locations to open in 2019 in Miami, Austria and Dubai, among other territories.

And the collection? The capsule, designed by Jean-Claude Jitrois, comprises six dresses in the Jitrois brand’s signature stretch ‘second skin’ leather, which may not sound like an obvious choice for vacation dressing, but it has been adapted for this capsule with a range of power-brights.

Alina London, founded by Alina Roxanna Moise, is a holiday-wear specialist that focuses on “exotic holiday and resort womenswear” and Jitrois certainly fits the exotic bill.

“Myself and Jitrois think of the same woman, the same silhouette, the same personality. I personally have an extensive Jitrois wardrobe and it came naturally for us to collaborate on a capsule collection to highlight leather designs in an exotic way,” Moise said.

Fashion Joint, is launching “as an extension to Alina London Womenswear.” Located at 305 Brompton Road, it will offer “carefully selected, unique items and collaborations with a variety of international designers to deliver one-of-a-kind products.”
